Crop Diversification with
Future Fit Crops for a healthier planet

Historically, over 300,000 edible plant species are available to humanity, but 60% of our calories are sourced from only 3 crops globally. Our solution focuses on Future Fit Crops – climate resilient, drought tolerant, and have the ability to produce good yields on degraded or marginalised land; some examples are the Bambara groundnut, moringa, and lupin. This approach further provides an alternative means of income for smallholder farmers with such land.

Breakthrough Innovation through science and technology that

NamZ is rethinking the way foods are being designed, made, and processed; while protecting scarce resources and maximising natural resource utilisation.

For example, we have designed a new way of producing one of the world’s most popular foods – NoodleZ. Throughout the process we eliminate the use of deep-frying and palm oil, resulting in more than a 70% decrease in fat content. If 10% of instant noodles sold were made with our technology – $95 million worth of palm oil products will be saved.

While maintaining a delicate balance of taste, somewhere between ‘new and better’ and ‘old and familiar’ in order to win hearts and minds of the young and old alike. We chose to develop healthier, more nutritious, and more sustainable alternatives of foods that people are familiar with.
